I haven't been able to get food storage off of my mind, maybe because we don't have any! We never know what is headed our way so I definitely need to be more prepared. I went to Costco today and started with corn. Every couple of weeks and I am going to add to it. We have also been saving water in our empty milk cartons. Yeah- for food storage!!!

Food storage has been on my mind too and we've stocked up on some food items at Costco as well. Water is the problem for us. I'm trying to figure out a way to store it properly in the very limited space we have...
Good for you! Milk jugs are not recommended for water storage because the plastic breaks down and will eventually leak. Any of the bottles that have Pete written on the bottom work well and are heavy duty plastic. Also you'll have to look into the #10 cans from welfare square. They are a great price and store well. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
I sat by your cute grandma at church this week. She is so stylin! I love her. You're very ambitious with the food storage...I just make sure I have enough gas to get to my parents. Ha ha!
I've been worried about it too! Last Sunday in our fifth Sunday lesson we focused on emergency preparedness and food storage. My parents are giving us part of our food storage for Christmas, and I need to do what you're doing, just a few items every time I go to the store.
